Saying No to Worry

10:54 PM

This morning I got my mom to drive down the street to the new park on my street on the way to school.  Right before we got there, she reached over and put her hand over my eyes (I promise my mom a safe driver, don’t worry) and the first thing I did was worry if she was rubbing my mascara.  But then we got there, and I took off running out of the car.  I was so excited.  There was a climbing wall, new swings, a slide, monkey bars, all the bells and whistles.  And you know what I did?  I tested out every, single piece of play equipment.

And it made my day so much better.  Today I said no worrying about what cars passing by would think about me.  I said no to worrying about my clean lavender colored shirt and the mud I had to run through to get to the playground.  I said to worry and oh my stars was it a wonderful thing.

(The point of this post was going to be 5 pieces of advice, but I’m just going to keep rolling with this gal pal.)

Life is too short friends.  There is so much good out there, and just not enough time.  I’m not trying to stress you out, but I think that it’s time for us to stop worrying about everything.  Worrying about your mark in English class, worrying if your outfit looks cute, worrying if your making the right decision.  Trust me when I say this, I worry A LOT, but I think it’s time that we just stop.  Throw that worry out the window, and let’s get going, because there is so much life that needs living!

Now it’s your turn.  The next time you worry about something, try and stop yourself.  Worrying is mentally exhausting, so don’t put yourself through it. It’s just not worth it.

One of my favorite quotes goes something like this “Worrying is literally betting against yourself”  and IT’S SO TRUE.

Come on, let's do this, you got this.

SO MUCH LOVE & HUGS,

Em
